First Song to Hit 1.000 Plays on SoundCloud

August 19, 2013 in Album, Analog Sheep, Compositions, Game Soundtrack, Guney Ozsan, Music, News, Releases, Video Game Music

Boulevard of Electric Dreams from my electronica project Analog Sheep‘s first EP Rad Skater Apocalypse Soundtrack became the first song to hit 1.000 plays on SoundCloud.

Boulevard of Electric Dreams is an Amiga and chiptune inspired dance track with pure analog sound, progressive structure based on synth riffs oriented from rock music and melodic synth solos again based on progressive rock.

I composed the piece in 2012 for the game Rad Skater Apocalypse made by the independent game developer Muzboz from Australia. The game is an arcade runner in which a skater boy takes his synthesizer under his arm and tries to rescue the world from 8 bit zombies and aliens. The game is published on iPhone and iPad. Recently, the game became free for download and the free version is called “Rad Skater Apocalypse Boom!”.

You can download the game from itunes using this link:

Boulevard of Electric Dreams is one of the three tracks I made for Rad Skater Apocalypse. I published all the songs as an EP, including a bonus track “I Miss My Amiga 500”, a tribute to the Amiga era and another popular Analog Sheep track. Here is the complete EP:

“Analog Sheep” Came into the World

January 24, 2013 in Album, Compositions, Game Soundtrack, Guney Ozsan, Music, News, Releases, Video Game Music

Analog SheepMy electronic project “Analog Sheep” finally came into the world. I was working hard on this project, and from now on, I will be collecting my music full of synthesizers of vintage colors and analog character under the name Analog Sheep.

Analog Sheep is named after the novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep” by the American writer Philip K. Dick. The novel describes a post-apocalyptic world where it became very hard to distinguish androids from human beings. Analog Sheep is formed to ask the question: “Do Synthesizers Dream of Analog Sheep?
Do synthesizers dream of Analog Sheep?
The character design of Analog Sheep is created by Murat Kalkavan.

The soundtrack of independent video game producer Murray Lorden‘s iPad/iPhone game “Rad Skater Apocalypse” became Analog Sheep’s debut album. The 4 track soundtrack EP is full of analog modelled synths, solos and vintage feeling. Besides there is a bonus track called “I Miss My Amiga 500“, an ode to Amiga era for Amiga crazy fans.

ALBUM NOTES:

Fairy Got Killed ” is a concept album that I made between the years 2000 and 2005. At those days there wasn’t any suitable environment for independent music publishing, so I kept the project for myself. Then life drifted me to projects involving other people. Academy, bands, live music… I had to freeze my inner self at that point. 7 years later, now I caught the chance to return to my singularity…

Ophidia – Orchestral Arrangements

February 10, 2012 in Album, Guney Ozsan, News, Releases

I collected together the orchestra and keyboard work that I did in 2010 for the album Neverland – Ophidia, which brought us a European tour with my ex-band Dreamtone.

This time the tracks are acoustic and plain. There is also a nice quotation from Bach in Speak to Me.
